MANAGEM is a company operating in the two areas of mining and hydrometallurgy.

To ensure the development of its two specialist areas, MANAGEM has set the following strategic guidelines :
• Maintain mining activity in Morocco by consolidating and improving performances in its current activities and identifying and developing new mining projects.
• Acquire or make equity investments in mining projects internationally, in Africa and the Middle East in particular. The metals targeted are precious metals, base metals and special metals.
• Develop and consolidate MANAGEM's position in hydrometallurgy.

The financial capacity that MANAGEM has acquired over the years has enabled it to undertake an ambitious program of new projects. Investment in 2004 amounted to 675.4 million dirhams, including 139 million in research.

MANAGEM has a constantly developing portfolio of exploration projects at different stages, both in Morocco and internationally.

In Morocco , MANAGEM has signed research agreements with the national hydrocarbons office (ONHYM, formerly BRPM). The aim of this partnership is to carry out a program of works and technical-economic studies on deposits discovered.

Projects in Morocco :
Projects at the feasibility study stage :
Cobalt derivative project: This cobalt derivative production project will consolidate MANAGEM's hydrometallurgical activity.

Draa Sfar downstream project: A feasibility study has been done on the considerable resources discovered in Draa Sfar (CMG) and shows that the working of the downstream part of the deposits will be profitable.

Projects abroad :
Projects in the development phase :
Bakoudou Project ( Gabon ): this gold prospect has estimated resources of 9 T and significant discovery potential. MANAGEM's aim is to extend the potential of the Bakoudou prospect and carry out a feasibility study.

DRC project: the partnership formed with the Congolese company Costamin concerning the two permits held by this company in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).This will allow Managem to take a direct majority holding in the two very high potential copper and cobalt mining projects which could go into production fairly quickly.

Other projects and research permits are being sought out in a number of countries.
