Two major areas:

  Motivating and involving personnel,

Eradication of illiteracy :
Literacy programs have been set up on all sites in partnership with the Institut français and/or by our own trainers;

• Using best practice in our operational crafts:
Encouraging the use of retired staff for in-service training: ensure the succession and capitalization of crafts by encouraging retired staff to share their knowledge and know-how with their successors;

 Staff well-being:
Home ownership, Achoura celebrations, travel, children's camps and vacation centers;

• Fostering good industrial relations with partners;

• Development of partnerships with various bodies: schools, universities, ministries, local government, R&D, etc.

  Taking part in the development of our partners

  Local communities around the mining sites are the object of our constant concern and close attention.

  We focus our actions on three goals:

Helping the development of women in rural areas

• eradicating illiteracy by teaching them to read and write and skills such as sewing and embroidery to guarantee a permanent income and enable them to be independent and innovative; reduce health and hygiene risks through series of gynecological checkups and awareness-raising sessions on STDs.

• Provide moral and material support for women's economic position; support for income generating projects; payment of trainers.

Developing education for all

• Distribution of school kits to children in villages close to our mining and industrial sites

• Development and encouragement of schooling for girls in villages a long way from a high school by providing scholarships for boarders.

• Contribution to the preschool development and preparation of 3 to 5 year olds by building and sponsoring day-care centers.

• School transportation for senior high school students.

• Open days for school children and students to induct them into the world of industry.

• Help in improving school children's health

• Financial help for building classrooms.

  Help in providing drinking water and the project for irrigation and opening up remote areas

• Material help and technical assistance for supplying drinking water by digging wells and distributing water to villages in need during the summer period;

• Payment for the khettara irrigation project in sites located in the Anti-Atlas

• Easier access to remote regions by including roads in projects.
